The landscape is framed as a vision coming from a small child, all dressed up like a little doctor. Behind them is a rusted, metal, chain link fence as symbolism to acknowledge the barriers that have existed for Black mothers and how being closed from equitable healthcare has resulted in trauma and loss. Remanence of the fence will be shown throughout the piece, as this is still an unfortunate reality we are fighting to overcome. It is very colorful and bright, with a tone of hope and encouragement as we move toward a brighter future and healthier outcomes for families and young, dreaming girls.
