Diane Brinkley

I am a self-taught bead artist and designer. My pieces draw from nature and are inspired by my connection to Africa and the African American experience. I am a retired Newark Public Schools educator of 30 years and in retirement I have taught woodworking and landscaping. I love hiking, camping and kayaking and am the proud mother of three adult children and “Meema” to 7 grands. My beadwork incorporates natural stones, bone, seed beads, brass and leather.
