As an artist, I draw inspiration from the vibrant Black communities that thrive in Brooklyn. This is a place where culture, creativity, and resilience intertwine to create a rich tapestry of life. My work is a celebration of this tapestry, and an exploration of the deep connections between individuals, families, and communities.
My ties to Brooklyn run deep. It is where I grew into adulthood, raised my son, and where I continue to find a sense of belonging and connection.Through my art, I seek to honor their stories and experiences, and to capture the essence of what makes Brooklyn so special.

I hope my work is a reflection of all Black communities have persisted and thrived in the face of adversity. That it celebrates of our collective history, and affirms the importance of community and family. Through my art, I seek to inspire others to embrace their own ties to their neighborhoods and to see the beauty and strength that can be found in the connections between people.
