Josephine Dakers-Brathwaite

In my work inspiration is drawn from nature, floral landscapes and elements of everyday life. This piece was inspired by my trip to Trinidad while visiting my husband's family. The beauty of the floral landscape, the bright blue ocean and the vibrant street life; set the stage for a forest of vibrant color using 3D components to represent the biodiversity of our oceans.

Wet and needle felting, combined with hand embroidered design and beading, create texture and sparkle to this lush garden oasis.
